Polymerization Reactors / Sample Analysis


High pressure, batch reactors made by the Parr Instrument Company are used to evaluate polymerization catalysts. Typically a reactor is loaded with catalyst, pressurized with ethylene or propylene, and heated to produce polyolefins such as HDPE. The products from the reaction are then tested for different physical properties.
